Founder Highlight

Founded by Kylie Nakash, a Pre-College violinist at The Juilliard School, Melodies in Medicine brings the healing power of music to underserved communities.

Our Mission

To bring healing, hope, and joy through music to individuals with neurological and psychological conditions, including neurodivergent individuals, and those with anxiety, depression, dementia, or trauma.
 

Who We Serve

Our programs focus on underserved and neurodivergent populations, including :
” Neurodivergent individuals, including ADHD and autism “
” Individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, or dementia “
” Seniors in nursing homes or elder care facilities “
” Children and adults who cannot otherwise afford therapy “
 

What We Do

Our programs provide a wide range of services to support healing, learning, and empowerment:
• Free or low-cost music therapy sessions (virtual or in-person)
• Educational workshops for caregivers, communities, and support groups
• Therapeutic live performances in hospitals, nursing homes, elder care facilities and schools.
• Fundraising concerts to support programs and research
• Resource development: guides and tools for families, caregivers, and institutions
